The Countryside Farmstand

There are many aspects of farming, but one of my favorites is the constant movement. Our growing practices are always evolving—shaped by what the soil needs and what our community wants. More than ever, people want to know where their food comes from and to trust that it’s safe and clean. Building that trust starts with a relationship between the farmer and the community.

Inviting people to visit the farm is the perfect way to share what we stand for. At a true farmstand, you can look out over the land, see the trees and rows of crops, and know that the produce is as fresh as it gets—harvested straight from the soil to you. A local farmstand is also a wonderful place for other small growers to share their harvests. We’re lucky at Twin Peaks Orchards to have a farmstand that’s easy for both locals and visitors to access, making it a true “food hub” filled with seasonal, organic, and local produce.

This season, we've proudly partnered with many nearby organic farms and local producers. I like to think of it as a seasonal “one stop shop.” Our inspiration comes from farmstands around the world—from the vibrant mercados of Mexico City, to the bustling markets of London and Spain, to the sweet countryside stands in France where the scent of melon guides you in. No matter where you are, the farmstand is where the community meets the farmer—and where you can take home that fragrant melon, right from the vine.

A Few Updates from the Orchard

Say it isn't so!

It's hard to believe, but we are nearing the end of our stone fruit season! Over the next couple of weeks, we will have yellow peaches come and go, with O'Henry still available this weekend. August Pearl white nectarines are in now. September Bright yellow nectarines are still to come. Each harvest gets smaller and smaller. This feels like the end of August, not July! Hopefully the weather next stone fruit season will be a bit timelier!

Summer isn't over yet!

We will continue to stock our farmstand with seasonal, organic produce. Like all of these tomatoes! We have peach salsa now in the refrigerator, along with a replenish of Foothill Roots salad mix. Have you tried an Asian Pear? Ask for our favorite ways to enjoy them and incorporate them into your fruit bowl.

Visit us and watch the seasons change!
