A seasonal favorite! This specialty persimmon is only available from Twin Peaks Orchards. Sweet and creamy with a hint of spice, this variety has also been nicknamed the "Cinnamon" persimmon because of these desireable characteristics. The Amagaki is golden in color with brown sugar flecks marking the flesh. As with many persimmons, some fruit may contain larger "seeds" with a deeper, chocolate brown color to the flesh. Many consider themselves lucky when one of them end up in thier box! Amagaki are one of our most versatile persimmons. Excellent eaten fresh out of hand, we love adding them to salads, sauted with greens, added to grilled cheese sandwich or wood-fired pizzas, on a seasonal charcuterie board or added to desserts. High, quick heat is a great way to bring out sugars and caramelize the natural sugars, however longer oven heat applications are not advised unless fruit is very soft. Fruit arrives in one single layer box, will contain between 25 and 16 pieces, depending on size of fruit.
